As the years progressed, I started realizing that when I tried to operate that way, I was really limiting progress. Most of these people were blessed with skills and abilities that I didn’t have. So if we were going to do our very best, my job was to help each person find their sweet spots and then give them plenty of rope. Initially my ego got in the way causing me to reel them in. As years have gone by, I have been learning that it is far better to follow Henry Kaiser’s advice. The result is less stress and more accomplishment and satisfaction for all.
