CAN YOUR STRENGTHS BECOME YOUR WEAKNESSES?

Doesn’t the statement “Strengths carried to extreme become weaknesses” seem counterintuitive?  If you are interested in learning about what some of your weaknesses may be, think first about what your strengths are.

For instance, if your strength is…

Aggressiveness-  How does it affect other people if you become extremely aggressive?

Fun-loving- Might others get a bit tired if you are never or rarely serious?

Detail-oriented- If you overly dwell on details, is it possible that you might find it difficult to get much done while driving others crazy?

Laid-back- If you withdraw too much, is there a chance that you may get run over?

The list goes on.  While you shouldn’t try to do away with your strengths because they are given to you as part of your purpose, if you desire to improve your relationships, consider reeling your ‘gifts’ in a bit.  I’m guessing that you’ll begin finding more joy.

Like many things in life, moderation will typically help you find balance.
